The band, comprised of frontman Lajon Witherspoon, John Connolly (guitar), Clint Lowery (guitar), Vince Hornsby (bass), and Morgan Rose (drums), first appeared in 1995 as Crawlspace, releasing the single "My Ruin" on the Mortal Kombat: More Kombat recording. Shortly thereafter, the group changed its name to Sevendust and released a self-titled debut in 1997. Two years later, the bandmates issued the gold-selling Home and played over 800 shows alongside such groups as Creed, along with a stop at Woodstock '99. Their angst-ridden third album, the aptly titled Animosity, appeared in fall 2001, and Seasons followed in 2003. In late December 2004, word surfaced that Lowery had left the band. Sevendust announced ex-Snot guitarist Sonny Mayo as Lowery's replacement. Next, Sevendust's fifth album and their first self-produced effort, appeared in October 2005. 2007's Alpha climbed to number 14 on the Billboard charts and paving the way for the band's seventh effort. Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow arrived in April 2008, featuring an appearance by former American Idol star Chris Daughtry. | | With Special Guests |

Snapped up by Atlantic Records during the early ‘00's flurry of post-Creed and Nickelback signings, the group released their debut album Leave a Whisper in 2003. Whisper ended up doing quite well for the band, aided by its single "Fly from the Inside." Shinedown also supported it with a heroic slate of live shows, remaining on tour for most of 2004. The following year the band issued a live album documenting those shows, then returned in October 2005 with their sophomore effort Us and Them. |

Choosing to come out from behind the skins like his idol Dave Grohl before him, the Florida-bred Gillespie (who relocated to Salt Lake City in early 2007, following his marriage) wanted to explore a different outlet for his songwriting outside of his hard-hitting main gig. Written as Underoath was recording their critically acclaimed 2006 album Define the Great Line (and recorded soon after that album's completion), the songs on the Almost's melodically-inclined debut album, April 2007's Southern Weather, are pointedly lacking Underoath's metalcore sound; the album's first single, "Say It Sooner," features a rhythm guitar track directly inspired by Johnny Cash's original musical partner, Luther Perkins, among others. Although Gillespie played all of the instruments on Southern Weather, which was jointly released by Tooth and Nail and Virgin, he formed a full band version of the Almost for touring purposes. This incarnation featured himself on vocals, guitarist Jay Vilardi, bassist Alex Aponte, and drummer Kenny Bozich. | | With Special Guests | Emery

They endured several lineup changes including the suicide of singer Barry Fisk before recruiting singer/bassist Jeff Becerra. Becerra was from a local metal band called Blizzard. (which included future Possessed guitarist Larry Lalonde and manager, Debbie Abono.). Possessed started perfecting their own brand of metal which was the precursor to modern death metal: very fast, savage riffs, warp-speed drums, mile-a-second solos, and the raspy growl of the vocals later perfected by Chuck Schuldiner of Death (who cites Possessed's "Seven Churches," album as a significant influence). Possessed took San Francisco's metal scene by storm, playing out with fellow Bay Area thrashers Exodus. Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records was impressed enough with their demo to ask them for a track for the upcoming Metal Massacre 6. "Swing Of The Axe" proved to be the highlight of that compilation, and was included on the later "Best of Metal Massacre." Combat Records signed Possessed in 1985, and the band spent the school Easter break recording the heaviest, fastest, most evil piece of metal ever to be carved into vinyl grooves - Seven Churches. This is the album that set the standard for death metal. Released in October of 1985, it was light-years ahead of its time, with the intricate-yet-heavy riffing of The Exorcist, Twisted Minds, and the title track (LaLonde's first co-writing credit) and the skull-pounding brutality of Burning In Hell, Evil Warriors, and the seminal Death Metal. The album was masterfully produced by Randy Burns, and recorded at Prairie Sun Studios. Seven Churches went on to be Combat Records' biggest-selling album. Not bad for a quartet of high school kids. | | With Special Guests | Sadistic Intent | Pinhed | Uncleansed | Cain Was Able |

He wrote his first song at the age of 10. First seen in national media as a finalist in VH1's In Search of the Partridge Family, Geiger toured with Hilary Duff, serving as the opening act on her summer 2005 Still Most Wanted Tour. His first single, "For You I Will (Confidence)", was officially released in February 2006 to positive reviews. His debut album, Underage Thinking, was released on March 21, 2006, and peaked at number eight (#8) in the US Billboard 200 albums chart. Geiger had a small role on the short lived television series Love Monkey, which originally aired on CBS and was later moved to VH1. He played the young up-and-coming musician Wayne Jensen, starring alongside Tom Cavanagh and Jason Priestley. His song "For You I Will (Confidence)" was featured as the theme to the show on the later episodes and was nominated for "Best Love Song" in the 2006 Teen Choice Awards. He has already released a second single, "These Walls", which began receiving steady radio airplay in September 2006 and was later released as a music video. His debut album Underage Thinking won the award for 'Best Album of the Year' at the annual MusiqTone MusiqAwards. He was also nominated for 'New Artist of the Year' but lost to Panic! at the Disco. Geiger also received an AVMA for Brand Spankin' New Artist in 2007. | | With Special Guests
Hilary McRae
Singer Songwriter: A singer and songwriter who knew her calling by the age of 15, Hilary McRae would be one of the first ‘developing artists' to release an album on the Starbucks Cafe and Concord Music Group's label, Hear Music. Her retro-soul style, which drew comparisons to seventies soul and pop, was collected on the full length Through These Walls in 2008. The album, which was created with long time collaborator Zach Ziskin, also featured the talents of arranger Charlie Calello. The album would go on to peak well within the top twenty on Billboard's Top Heatseekers. Scott Harris

 Alternative Rock / Gothic:
Despite having a successful solo career as a cult artist, vocalist Peter Murphy remains best known as the lead vocalist for Bauhaus, the pioneering post-punk goth rock band of the early '80s. After disbanding Bauhaus in 1983, Murphy formed Dali's Car with former Japan member Mick Karn. Dali's Car only released one album, The Waking Hour, in 1984. Following its release, the duo broke up and Murphy hesitatingly began a solo career with a cover of Magazine's "The Light Pours Out of Me," which was featured on a 1985 Beggars Banquet compilation called The State of Things. In 1986, he released his first full-fledged solo album, Should the World Fail to Fall Apart, which featured a number of guest artists, including former Bauhaus member Daniel Ash. Two years later, Murphy released his second solo album, Love Hysteria. With 1990's Deep, Murphy had a surprise hit — the first single from the record, the Bowie-esque "Cuts You Up," became the American modern rock hit of the year, spending seven weeks at the top of the U.S. charts and crossing over to AOR radio and the pop charts, where it peaked at number 55. Following its success, Deep reached number 44 on the album charts. His next album, 1992's Holy Smoke, had the number two modern rock hit "The Sweetest Drop." While touring with a reunited Bauhaus in 1998, he recorded the solo EP Recall. The new millennium, however, saw a newly charged Murphy. Without a deal, he took to the road in support of the greatest-hits retrospective Wild Birds 1985-1995: The Best of the Beggars Banquet Years for two tours of the U.S. during spring and fall 2000. The latter tour, which was more acoustically based, showcased some new material and rare favorites. Still a cult mainstay with American fans, Murphy issued the live double-disc Alive Just for Love in summer 2001. This delightful set was released by Metropolis and featured Bauhaus tracks and solo hits. A year later, he hooked up with renowned world artist Mercan Dade for this sixth studio album, Dust. Unshattered followed in 2004. |

Kill Hannah

Rock / Post grunge:
Kill Hannah was essentially vocalist/guitarist Mat Devine's dorm room four-track baby until a move to Chicago in 1995. After recruiting a few supporting players, Devine and Kill Hannah debuted the sound — a glitzy mix of gothic tendencies and fashionably crunchy modern rock. Steady local gigs followed, as did a series of self-released EPs and a couple of albums (1997's Here Are the Young Moderns, 1999's American Jet Set). Devine finally found a lineup that stuck as his band's dogged, sometimes thankless tour of duty on the Chicago music scene dragged into the new millennium. With guitarists Dan Wiese and Jonathan Radtke, bassist Greg Corner, and drummer Garrett Hammond along for the ride, Kill Hannah continued to build a buzz locally while showcasing for majors frequently. The hard work finally paid off in late 2002, when Devine and the band signed with Atlantic. For Never & Ever appeared in October 2003; in addition to new material, it featured a few retooled versions of older songs. Kill Hannah toured in support of the album through year's end, returning to the studio later to complete their next record, 2006's Until There's Nothing Left of Us.

Danny Nordahl had also played in The Throbs, and Danny Nordahl and Chad Stewart both also play in Motochrist. A remix compilation Between the Valley of the Ultra Pussy was released the same year by the band, featuring industrial rock remixes of their classic tracks, along with a bonus cover of KISS' "I Was Made For Loving You". This divided fans as many of the band's older fanbase who enjoyed standard hard rock, were not familiar with industrial rock. Steele would leave the band half-way through the band's 2001 tour with Poison and Cinderella. Tracii Guns filled in as guitarist for the rest of the tour, but once the remaining dates were completed, Faster Pussycat continued as a five piece. After Brent was unable to tour in 2005 having been diagnosed with throat cancer, Eric Griffin from Murderdolls filled in as the guitarist for their United States tour. | L. A. Guns Rock / Hard Rock: L.A. Guns started in 1982 as a straightup dirty rock n roll band. The band was put together by Tracii Guns in his last year of high school. The band has had some noteable members such as Axl Rose, Phillip Lewis and Jizzy Pearl, but continues today with band members Marty Casey (the Singer) Jeremy Guns (the Bass Player) Chad Stewart (the Drummer), and of course Tracii Guns (the Guitarist) and Big Al (The other Guitarist). L.A. Guns has been a work in progress without an end in sight, continually touring and of course writing and recording a huge variety of rock n roll sounds. Some people believe that L.A. GUNS may be the last true rock n roll band that hasn’t had to rely on outside writers or the help or corporate funding to have continued success. | | With Special Guests | Bang Tango
